The bite of the Cobra

Kali pulled out this fella from the burrow and he was quiet for sometime.

All the while, there was hissing and the hooded warning. I was waiting for the moment when he would charge. Missed the moment thrice when the snake tried to strike. Finally caught this one.

Though with the movement, the snake has become blurred. I accept that I am slower than the snake but still could manage this much.

For the educative part – Google for Indian snake bite protocol 2007. That suggests you on ways to treat snakebites in India.

Nothing else works! Read about it. They are common. They are venomous. They attack when they are threatened/disturbed. They are dangerous. They are adorable. They are the apex predators. They have to be respected. They deserve to live. They provide us food.
